Duties: Manage U.S. and international trademark portfolios for clients, including filing, registration, and clearance. Provide legal counsel on trademark protection, enforcement, and strategic planning. Oversee opposition and cancellation actions before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) of the USPTO. Draft and negotiate trademark licensing agreements and other related documents. Represent clients in trademark litigation and alternative dispute resolution when necessary. Work closely with clients to develop and implement trademark strategies aligned with their business goals. Stay updated on changes in trademark law, ensuring compliance with current regulations and industry trends. Collaborate with other legal teams within the firm to provide comprehensive IP support. Requirements: 4-8 years of direct experience managing U.S. and foreign trademark portfolios. Expertise in trademark registration, clearance, and counseling. Experience with opposition and cancellation actions before the TTAB. Proven ability to handle complex intellectual property matters. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues. Litigation experience is a plus. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications: Licensed to practice law in the state of New York. Skills: In-depth knowledge of U.S. and international trademark law. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in trademark search tools and databases. Ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
