The Tenant Resource Counselor is an on-site position within Supportive Housing sites, supporting residents to age in place, improve their quality of life, and access community services. The role involves facilitating connections to services, coordinating activities, assisting with tenancy issues, and working closely with property management and external agencies. Key Responsibilities
Serve as a resource person for residents, providing information on services and promoting self-sufficiency. Develop positive relationships with on-site partners, including property managers and support staff. Lead and co-lead evidence-based workshops and community activities, ensuring inclusivity and language accessibility. Maintain confidential resident files, document interactions, and analyze data for program improvement. Identify residents in crisis and coordinate appropriate interventions and referrals. Plan social, educational, and wellness activities tailored to residents' needs. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in sociology, social work, gerontology, or related field. Minimum six months of elder care case management experience. Fluent in Mandarin and/or Cantonese, both spoken and written. Additional Requirements
Ability to work in the U.S. Willingness to travel up to 25% to community sites and residents' homes. Work Environment & Physical Demands
Office setting; ability to carry 15-20 lbs; frequent talking, hearing, standing, walking, and reaching. Employment Details
Full-time, Monday-Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM, with travel as specified.
