Primary Duties & Responsibilities Salary: $29.96 - $37.45/hour. Application deadline: Sunday, June 1, 2025, or until a qualified pool is obtained.
Lead a team in the operation, maintenance, and repair of water transmission and distribution systems.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs.
Oversee work assignments and review team performance.
Operate specialized equipment and coordinate daily activities.
Troubleshoot water system issues and provide customer service during emergencies.
Maintain records and assist in training personnel.
Respond to water, wastewater, and stormwater emergencies, including snow removal and standby duties.
Minimum Qualifications & Working Conditions
High school diploma or GED.
At least three years of responsible experience in water system maintenance, preferably with pressure control valves.
Knowledge of water system hydraulics, safety practices, blueprint reading, and SCADA systems.
Skills in operating valves, hydrants, and tools safely; training personnel; hazard recognition; and attention to detail.
Ability to understand complex instructions, establish effective relationships, communicate effectively, and work overtime with a 45-minute response time.
Licenses: Class B CDL with Tanker Endorsement; Colorado Water Distribution 2 or Wastewater Collection 2.
Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, working outdoors in all weather, and operating various tools and equipment.
Work environment involves outdoor terrain, confined spaces, and exposure to noise, dust, and fumes.
Additional Information
Essential personnel may be required to work during emergencies.
Applicants must pass criminal background checks and drug screening.
Veterans should include military service documentation in their application.
