Responsibilities

Lead and manage the employees of the Minneapolis office, including underwriters, brokers, and support staff. Drive the growth of a successful and profitable company within the region. Manage team performance through training, mentoring, and talent retention. Attract, hire, and promote top talent. Develop and monitor sales and marketing strategies. Manage relationships with retail agents and underwriters/brokers. Oversee office Profit & Loss. Collaborate with corporate headquarters to ensure alignment and support. Supervise underwriting guidelines, company policies, procedures, and compliance. Oversee overall office operations, including new business, renewals, marketing, training, and staffing. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. At least 3 years of sales team leadership experience with direct management. Minimum 5 years of multi-line underwriting/production experience, preferably in excess & surplus lines. Proven ability to lead, influence, and motivate teams. Strong relationship management skills with clients, carriers, and third parties. Proficiency in sales and marketing. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Insurance licenses or professional designations (e.g., CPCU, CIC) preferred.
