This role supports the GIS Unit with a focus on architecture and maintenance of cloud-based systems in a hybrid environment under the direction of the GISU Architect. The position involves assisting in the deployment and support of Enterprise GIS (EGIS) systems and contributing to Azure-based GIS development to enhance system reliability, scalability, and performance. Job Responsibilities: Assist in deploying and managing GIS solutions in Microsoft Azure including provisioning VMs, storage, and networking Support integration of Azure cloud services with on-premises systems Contribute to infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM templates and Bicep Monitor and maintain Azure-hosted GIS environments using Azure Monitor and diagnostic tools Perform software updates, troubleshoot issues, and support routine maintenance of GIS components Collaborate with IT teams to implement security configurations and identity management using NCID and RBAC Follow deployment procedures and assist with documenting cloud infrastructure and support processes Provide support during planning, testing, and rollout of GIS services and updates Required Skills:

Foundational understanding of Microsoft Azure services (compute, storage, networking, monitoring) Experience with ARM templates and/or Bicep for infrastructure deployment Familiarity with Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, especially in cloud or hybrid environments Scripting or automation experience using PowerShell or Azure CLI Knowledge of security protocols, including vulnerability mitigation and remediation Understanding of SAML 2.0, OAuth 2, and cloud architecture concepts Basic knowledge of relational databases and UML modeling Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and follow technical guidance Preferred Skills:
