We’re looking for a
Principal Frontend Engineer
to craft beautiful, performant web interfaces that make complex biological data and workflows intuitive and actionable. If you’re passionate about great UI/UX, love clean code, and want to make a real-world impact in biotech, we’d love to talk.
What You’ll Do Build and maintain complex, high-performance UIs using
React
and
TypeScript Collaborate with scientists, designers, and backend engineers to deliver intuitive, data-driven interfaces Integrate and optimize communication with our
GraphQL APIs
and
Node.js
services Translate complex biological and research workflows into clean, usable interfaces Champion frontend best practices, performance optimization, and accessibility Help shape our design system and engineering standards as we scale Mentor junior engineers and lead by example in code quality and collaboration
What We’re Looking For
8+ years of experience in frontend development, ideally in data-rich environments Deep experience with
React
and
TypeScript Strong knowledge of
GraphQL
and working with component-based architectures Experience collaborating on cross-functional teams with backend engineers and product/design Comfort working in or alongside
Node.js
codebases A passion for clean, testable, maintainable code Bonus: Interest or experience in scientific or data visualization (e.g., Plotly, D3)
Nice to Have
Experience with frameworks like
Next.js
or SSR applications Familiarity with
biotech, genomics, or healthcare
data domains Experience working with design systems or building internal tools A growth mindset and eagerness to learn about the science behind our platform
