We are hiring a Sr Project Architect for our Sports + Recreation + Entertainment team in Kansas City. The role involves overseeing project financials, team communication, technical content, and discipline coordination, including supervision of document production. The Sr Project Architect is responsible for the implementation of Construction Phase Services, QA reviews, and signing/sealing drawings, requiring licensure. Responsibilities

Ensure design intent is incorporated into detailed documentation. Monitor design process from concept through construction administration. Coordinate technical resolutions and discipline integration. Develop specifications in collaboration with the Specification Writer. Review reports, plans, estimates for accuracy. Define document production strategies, including BIM integration. Manage project standards and software parameters. Maintain collaborative relationships with project teams. Coordinate with disciplines, vendors, and contractors. Supervise technical drawing preparation and mentor staff. Participate in professional development and promote sustainability practices. Client Interface

Build trustful relationships with client leadership. Communicate regularly with client representatives regarding project progress and requirements. Teamwork

Follow project and technical direction from leadership. Coordinate documentation and project communication. Assist in planning, approvals, and project meetings. Support specifications, research, and standards adherence. Contribute to project cost and schedule management. Business Development

Participate in meetings targeting new project opportunities. Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent; Master’s preferred. 10+ years of design experience, preferably in Sports, Recreation, and Entertainment. Licensed Architect with current registration; NCARB and LEED accreditation preferred. Many roles require specific software skills; refer to the required and preferred software list.
