Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Job description & Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Management

  • Oversee inventory control for tools, safety gear, cleaning chemicals, suppression parts, and filters.
  • Monitor stock levels, place reorders, and ensure all materials are labeled, stored, and compliant with OSHA and FDNY standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
  • Implement asset tracking systems to monitor the usage of high‑value equipment.

Technician Support & Coordination

  • Ensure that all technicians are properly outfitted and equipped for daily jobs.
  • Work directly with the field supervisor to verify equipment and material needs for each service route (hood cleaning, suppression, inspections).
  • Issue, track, and maintain all PPE, job materials, and cleaning equipment for technicians.
  • Assist with onboarding new technicians and train them on proper warehouse protocols, equipment check‑in/out, and care.

Fleet Management

  • Coordinate routine maintenance, inspections, repairs, and registrations for all company vehicles.
  • Keep digital and physical logs of fuel usage, mileage, service records, and inspections.
  • Schedule vehicle servicing and emergency repairs with external vendors to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor and report any vehicle misuse, damage, or safety violations.

Logistics & Scheduling Alignment

  • Collaborate daily with dispatch and scheduling teams to ensure technician routes are realistic, efficient, and properly supplied.
  • Troubleshoot any logistical breakdowns between warehouse, field teams, and client sites (e.g., missing parts, delays, equipment issues).
  • Conduct pre‑shift checks to confirm all crews have the correct materials, equipment, and address access before departure.
  • Proactively adjust inventory and staffing support based on daily and weekly job schedules.

Operational Oversight

  • Identify process improvements in inventory, fleet, or technician prep workflows to boost field performance and reduce delays.
  • Lead warehouse safety meetings and enforce proper lifting, storage, chemical handling, and hazard protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, FDNY regulations, and all local fire/health/safety standards.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years in warehouse, logistics, or field operations management (preferably in service, maintenance, or construction).
  • Prior experience working with field service teams and managing job‑prep logistics highly valued.
  • Familiarity with commercial kitchen safety equipment (e.g., suppression systems, exhaust components, power washers) is a major plus.
  • Working knowledge of FDNY, NFPA 96, OSHA warehouse safety, and DOT vehicle requirements strongly preferred.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Capable of managing multiple moving parts (literally and figuratively).
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑accountability environment.
  • Strong written/verbal communication and computer proficiency (Excel, ServiceTrade or similar).
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) required – must be able to communicate clearly with field technicians and warehouse staff.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in warehouse conditions.
  • Willingness to work early mornings or nights when needed.
