Responsibilities Assist the dental team in providing exceptional patient care. Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized environment. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post‑treatment care. Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring a smooth workflow. Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist. Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately. Qualifications Previous dental‑assisting experience or relevant education is preferred; we’re willing to train the right candidate. Excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail. Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus. Requirements Connecticut: Certification and proof of formal training to expose X‑rays. Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X‑rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X‑rays). Georgia: CPR Certification, EFDA certification, and proof of formal training to expose X‑rays. Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X‑rays, BORID certification, and annual CE requirements per state regulations. Michigan: Must furnish evidence of X‑ray training certification upon hiring; if you lack certification at that time, you receive an 8‑week period to submit it. New Jersey: Proof of X‑ray training. New York: Not applicable. Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X‑rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X‑rays). Texas: CPR Certification and TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.
