Under the general supervision of the Sales Specialist, the Phlebotomist‑SPA will report to the designated client location and only perform tasks for TEN Healthcare that are related to laboratory services. The Phlebotomist‑SPA will be expected to collect TEN Healthcare laboratory orders, perform blood draws on designated patients, and safely transport the specimens to a designated drop point for courier pickup. On call availability could be requested from time to time.
Responsibilities
Appropriately store all collected specimen samples in accordance with established guidelines.
Maintaining accurate patient records, which includes detailing any medical issues experienced by patients during venipuncture procedures that may affect the accuracy of test results.
Ensuring test requisitions are completed and bar code stickers are applied to specimen containers and specimen containers are properly sealed.
Obtaining any missing information from the practice prior to sending specimen to the laboratory.
Completing the following information, if provided by the practice, for documentation: patient demographics (name, address, date of birth, etc.) and health insurance card/information.
Coordinating specimen pickup with a courier service.
Printing test result reports from TEN Healthcare’s results portal.
Assisting with questions and/or other tasks related to the reporting of TEN Healthcare’s laboratory results when requested by company employees and clients.
Assessing inventory and ordering the laboratory supplies for the client location, furnished by and/or purchased from TEN. Healthcare.
Interact in a professional manner with TEN Healthcare clients during the scheduled blood draw or specimen collection.
Report any issues or complications with the scheduled draw or collection to the Sales Specialist immediately.
Have strong communication with other departments at the Laboratory to ensure all work is completed and client service is satisfactory.
Requirements

Required Education
High School Diploma
Required Certification/License
Valid Driver’s License, Phlebotomist License or Certificate of Training.
Other Requirements
At least 2 years’ experience working as a phlebotomist
Applicant must be; Licensed registered nurse, OR vocational nurse, OR respiratory care practitioner, OR certified medical assistants, or other licensed individual with phlebotomy training.
