We are a sports and leadership ministry that empowers youth (middle and high school) to coach, mentor, and walk alongside younger peers (elementary school) through sports activities and games, primarily soccer, along with other sports and interactive activities. We also build youth leadership through weekly classes and workshops on prayer, faith, leadership, community engagement, and workforce development. Role Overview
The
IYLP Site Coordinator
provides support to the Kid Works Santa Ana IGNITE Youth Leadership Program, assisting with coordination, scheduling, and management of activities, including character sports classes, community engagement, youth leader recruitment, faith workshops, and administrative tasks such as content proofreading, data collection, and social media content creation. Details 20-25 hours per week, typically after school hours, Monday Thursday 12:00pm / 1:00pm to 7:00pm, with occasional field trips and visits.
Key Responsibilities
Support and co-lead the IGNITE Youth Leadership Program, including curriculum support, recruitment, community outreach, and maintaining program culture. Assist in updating program manuals, including translation and content organization. Supervise and coordinate character sports classes and community events, working closely with the Site Director. Manage youth leadership teams, including scheduling, training, and supervising youth leaders at various events and locations. Maintain communication with all stakeholders and support social media content creation. Participate in team meetings and community outreach activities to promote the program.
Qualifications
1-2 years of youth development experience. Enrolled in a college, trade school, or certification program. Ability to pass background checks and TB test. Highly organized with excellent communication skills. Proficient in MS Excel and Word; strong data skills. Person of integrity, committed to faith-based values.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in Spanish. Bachelor's degree. Experience with social media, sports, or community service. Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation.
