Walgreens Cashier – Tewksbury, MA

Base pay range: $16.00/hr – $18.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register sales on the assigned cash register and provide customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
• Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade‑up and/or companion items.
• Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
• Implement company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products).
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise.
• Assist with separation of food items, stock rotation, and first‑in, first‑out method.
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service and promotional photo products.
• Assume web pick‑up responsibilities (monitor orders, fill items, deliver orders).
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure clean, neat, orderly store condition.
• Assume all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Training & Personal Development

• Attend training and complete PPLs as requested by manager or corporate.

Basic Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
