About the Role: We're hiring a full-time Truck Driver in St. Rose, Louisiana - and you'll be home every night. You'll deliver rental equipment like forklifts and boom lifts to customer sites, with occasional trips to nearby branches. A valid CDL A and prior driving experience are required to ensure safe, efficient equipment handling. What You'll Do:
Transport, deliver, and retrieve construction and material handling equipment Operate commercial and non-commercial vehicles safely and efficiently Perform daily vehicle inspections before and after pickups/deliveries Load and unload equipment safely (boom lifts, forklifts, etc.) using proper chaining and strapping methods Maintain accurate delivery documents and daily logs Maneuver equipment through varied terrain and tight spaces when needed Communicate with branch leadership and dispatch regarding delivery schedules Observe safety protocols at all job sites and facilities Report all incidents, damage, or delays promptly to the Branch Manager or dispatch Provide basic assistance to customers with equipment questions during deliveries Maintain flexibility in daily tasks to meet customer needs Represent Burwell with a professional attitude and appearance Be available for occasional overtime depending on business demand Skills & Experience We're Looking For:
Minimum 2 years of recent tractor trailer driving experience Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Current DOT medical card Proven ability to safely load/unload and secure equipment Familiarity with chaining, strapping, and DOT safety standards Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. High School diploma or GED required Benefits:
