General Superintendent

responsible for managing all field operations on our K-12 projects. This on-site role is crucial in our project team.

This is a pipeline-building requisition, meaning there is no immediate opening. Candidates sourced through this role will be considered for future opportunities within Gilbane. Who are we? You will lead safety initiatives, coordinate trades, and participate in project meetings daily. Responsibilities Coordinate daily activities of trade contractors to ensure quality and schedule adherence. Manage project budgets and safety compliance. Develop work plans, monitor progress, and address potential issues proactively. Ensure permits and documentation are in order. Lead safety efforts and enforce safety protocols. Maintain project documentation and schedules. Train and supervise field staff. Participate in preconstruction planning and community engagement. Experience/Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management. 10-15 years’ experience on large-scale K-12 projects. OSHA 30-hour, STS-C, First Aid/CPR certifications. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in construction software and knowledge of all construction phases. Experience supervising teams and enforcing safety standards. Salary is competitive and based on experience, with ranges provided for specific locations.
