Inova Health is seeking a dedicated leader in Critical Care to join our collaborative team of over 70 physicians and advanced practice providers, caring for the most acutely ill patients across all five Inova hospitals. Our adult ICUs at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus include Medical-Surgical ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Cardiovascular ICU, and Neuroscience ICU. We also provide critical care consultations throughout the hospital and subspecialty support within the Inova system. Post-ICU care is managed by a team of hospitalists, including subspecialty services for neurologic conditions. Lead and embody Inova's core values to foster effective leadership Collaborate with Medicine Service Line leaders to develop and realize the vision for Critical Care services Manage critical care physicians and medical directors across care sites, including TeleICU and hospitals, with indirect oversight of Advanced Practice Providers Implement clinical quality initiatives aligned with system-wide goals Recruit and manage contracts with community intensivists in partnership with hospital leadership Standardize critical care delivery and outcomes across all units Work with nursing and administrative leaders to develop new programs and services Oversee operational aspects such as procurement, budgeting, compliance, disaster planning, risk management, and research Develop and manage TeleICU and bedside intensivist programs Enhance patient outcomes, staff retention, and patient experience through collaboration with nursing and administration Participate in strategic planning within the Medicine Service Line Support educational activities for medical students, residents, and fellows in partnership with GME & UME Additional Requirements:
Work schedule varies MD or DO from an accredited medical school; completed ACGME residency and fellowship; board eligible or certified Leadership experience preferred, such as Medical Staff Department Chair/Section Chief Current or eligible for Virginia medical license and DEA registration Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years leadership experience in a level one trauma center Completion of a Critical Care and Pulmonology Fellowship About Inova Health System:
