Job Overview The Managing Director of Elementary School Academics provides strategic leadership and oversight of academic programs for elementary grades. This role ensures the delivery of rigorous, engaging curricula aligned with our mission and standards. The director collaborates with school leaders, teachers, and stakeholders to improve instructional practices, student outcomes, and foster continuous improvement. Reports to the Chief Academic Officer.

Candidate Profile

Lifelong learner of curriculum and student learning

High confidence in helping students reach or exceed grade level achievement

Experience with best practices across elementary subjects: ELA, Math, Social Studies, Science

Provides timely, objective, and constructive feedback

Considers the whole adult and child in data-driven decisions

Thrives in high accountability environments

Knowledge of traditional educational practices (direct instruction, assessments, homework)

Willing to travel moderately (multiple school sites)

Willing to work on-site with some remote flexibility

Responsibilities

Support principals in curriculum and assessment implementation

Monitor and evaluate instructional programs, making necessary adjustments

Oversee curriculum development and assessment strategies

Analyze student performance data to inform instruction and identify improvement areas

Identify and facilitate resource acquisition

Manage support personnel

Benefits

Base salary: $150,000, commensurate with experience
