The National Director of Philanthropy (Major Gifts) develops and executes national major giving strategies, working with regional teams to meet fundraising targets and grow NKF’s major gift programs. The role involves collaboration across the organization, strategic planning, and direct engagement with high-net-worth donors. Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the major gifts team, providing prospect research and strategic guidance. Collaborate with regional leadership to develop and maintain a major gifts pipeline. Create and distribute fundraising collateral and support team and regional staff in donor engagement. Manage budget planning, reporting, and recognition programs like the NKF giving societies. Support the CEO with portfolio development and donor outreach. Lead ultra-high net worth donor strategies and manage the Philanthropy Council. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of nonprofit and fundraising experience, preferably in major gifts. Proven success in major gift strategies and donor engagement. Excellent communication, storytelling, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data and adapt strategies accordingly. Proficiency with information systems and willingness to travel as needed. Working Conditions
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., work evenings/weekends, and travel overnight. What We Offer
