What You’ll Get To Do
Plan and support the setup and integration of a manufacturing execution system (MES) for a new superconducting electronics wafer fabrication line
Maintain awareness of MES setup and integration schedule risk and proactively elevate risk to team leads as required
Create detailed end-user requirements and acceptance test plans, while leveraging experience and business processes from semiconductor manufacturing organizations
Partner with an industry-leading vendor in setting up an MES to support a new wafer fab manufacturing line
Collaborate with the vendor on deploying manufacturing master data modeling architectures and Best-Known Methods (BKMs)
Apply systems engineering best practices, principles, and concepts to architectures within a manufacturing context
Work collaboratively with other experienced team members
Basic Qualifications (Principal)
A degree in a STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with a minimum of 5 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 3 years of experience with a master’s degree, or 0 years of experience with a PhD. 4 years of additional experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
Able to support execution of Statement of Work (SOW) components with vendors and work cross functionally within a team
Demonstrated experience with modern automated factory systems in a semiconductor or microelectronics fab
Strong problem solving / troubleshooting skills
Understands data relationships between products, plans, recipes, and varying levels of manufacturing containers (lots, wafers, die, etc.)
Experience with core data groups in MES systems (equipment, products, consumables, etc.)
Must be willing to work on site 100% of time
Limited travel to local Northrop Grumman facilities may be required
This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance per business requirements

Experience with starting up a modern automated Manufacturing Execution System for a new manufacturing line
Experience with semi-automated track in / track out of product within an MES
Experience working in semiconductor manufacturing as process integrator, system, software, IT, manufacturing, or process engineer
Experience developing test plans for verifying and validating system components and subcomponents
Strong understanding of core MES subcomponents, such as equipment, process plan, test wafer setup, user security, constraints, contamination, lot management, etc
Experience with experiment management within R&D manufacturing concepts
Deep understanding of how MES integrates with broader systems in a Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) architecture including but not limited to Fault Detection, Equipment Integration, Recipe Management, Statistical Process Control, Advanced Process Control, Inventory, etc.
Has worked with Applied Materials SmartFactory CIM solution
Primary Level Salary Range:
$105,400.00 - $158,000.00
Secondary Level Salary Range:
$131,100.00 - $196,700.00
