Job Position Details A General Manager in Training is responsible for supporting the Store Operator in the performance of all activities within the restaurant they are assigned to manage. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Guest Experience

All actions and decisions are completely focused on and driven by the guests’ wants and needs.

Provides a happy, high‑energy environment where guests are excited to return.

Provides a clean, safe environment that makes guests comfortable to dine.

Ensures all guests are treated with dignity, respect, and professionalism.

Is aware of any guest issues and ensures they are handled fairly and promptly.

Follows up with team members regarding guest feedback, providing training and coaching where needed.

Trains employees with a high guest satisfaction mentality, delivering great service and product.

Builds relationships with guests, leading to repeat visits and increased sales.

Identifies repeat visitors and provides extra efforts to enhance their experience.

Operations & Standards

Maintains the Quality Assurance Program and ensures standards are upheld.

Coaches, trains, and acts on opportunities for improvement.

Ensures the restaurant is neat, clean, safe, and organized.

Ensures food stays within proper temperature guidelines.

Assists the GM with HAACP program knowledge and execution per Costa Vida standards.

Follows safety standards for cooking and food preparation.

Adheres to portioning guidelines for master recipes and menu build recipes.

Ensures all prepared recipes meet taste and appearance standards.

Provides a leading example for team members.

Identifies staffing needs and responds accordingly.

Supports company‑wide marketing and evaluates local opportunities.

Monitors safety and security of team members, guests, company materials, and assets.

Adheres to applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Assists in managing inventory, ordering, invoicing, and product tracking.

Training & Development

Creates an environment where all team members are treated fairly and respected.

Provides orientation, training, and development per company standards.

Ensures all team members are trained, motivated, and empowered to meet and exceed Costa Vida standards.

Provides feedback and coaching to strengthen skills and execution.

Seeks personal growth opportunities.

Makes effective decisions regarding team member performance.

Hold team members accountable for their actions.

Confronts poor or exceptional performance accordingly.
