We are seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse with strong verbal and written communication abilities to join our team. Preferred candidates will have experience in infusion nursing, mid-line and PICC placement, and a solid understanding of venous access devices and the vascular system. Proficiency in IV placement, central line care, blood draws, and medication management—including IV administration and anaphylaxis response— is highly valued. The ideal candidate will demonstrate independent judgment, excellent time management, and the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. BLS CPR certification and strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, are required.
Department Preferred Licensure, Certification, Registration:
Current and unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) in the District of Columbia.
Certification in BLS CPR required.
VA-BC (Vascular Access‑Board Certified) strongly desired but not required. Expectation would be for obtaining certification within 18 months.
Department Preferred Experience:
Minimum of three years hospital experience as a practicing nurse (ICU or specialty unit preferred).
Department Preferred Education: BSN required or matriculating to a BSN degree or higher within 2 years of hire.
