The candidate will have technical, project management, and market access responsibilities to lead water/wastewater design projects for municipal and private clients. They will manage client relationships to position Dewberry to perform large and complex projects, work with other practitioners across the company, and participate in business development activities such as pursuing new clients, preparing proposals and price proposals and contracts.
Responsibilities
Management of water and wastewater design projects.
Pump station design, inflow and infiltration studies, hydraulic modeling, collection system condition assessment and design, water distribution and storage, with potential opportunities to engage on treatment projects.
Lead and facilitate engineering design staff.
Work with design team across multiple offices and disciplines to generate detailed design documents for construction plans.
Meet client deadlines and project budgets.
Participate in business development activities including collaborating with our team in the marketing of new projects, proposal preparation, and client relationship management.
Required Skills & Experience
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
VA Professional Engineering license.
6-10 years' experience with increasing levels of project responsibilities for public sector water and wastewater projects.
Successful track record of maintaining relationships with clients in the Charlotte market.
Extensive technical experience in the design of wastewater conveyance systems and pump stations, water distribution and storage.
Water/Wastewater treatment experience is a plus.
Successful track record of managing projects, including scope, schedule and budget.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
