Sophisticated integrated systems play a critical role in national security efforts, facilitating understanding of the global situation, strategic planning, and tactical execution. The reliability, accessibility, and sophistication of these systems can determine the outcomes of conflicts before they begin. STR’s Systems Development Division (SDD) focuses on developing advanced technology solutions to provide asymmetric advantages within the information domain. SDD manages the entire lifecycle of solutions, from conceptualization and architecture refinement to implementation and deployment, leveraging novel technologies to deliver first-of-a-kind systems. Current efforts include programs for airborne and space RF sensors and advanced operations enabled by multi-function, multi-modal capabilities. Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test C++ software for complex embedded radar systems, primarily for Air-to-Air applications. Translate system and software requirements into designs compliant with architectural constraints and open architecture standards. Implement robust, high-quality C++ software suitable for mission-critical, real-time systems requiring high reliability and availability. Develop test frameworks to verify software implementation and performance. Utilize and improve DevSecOps practices. Participate in peer reviews of requirements, architecture, code, and testing plans. Document software designs and interfaces. Develop analysis tools and perform root cause analysis of software defects. Skills and Qualifications

Proficiency in C++, object-oriented programming, and software development, testing. Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required). BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of experience. Expertise in modern C++, multi-threading, memory management, and performance optimization. Experience with system integration, testing, GitLab, CI/CD, and automated testing frameworks. Comfort with new programming languages, frameworks, and technologies. Preferred Qualifications

Active Top Secret Clearance. Experience with signal processing, mathematical modeling, GPU development, RDMA, radar concepts, MATLAB to C++ translation, or domain expertise in electronic warfare, sensors, or cyber-physical systems. Additional Information
