The Safety Specialist, Compliance plays a pivotal role in driving organizational compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety protocols. This position is responsible for conducting in‑depth safety audits across multiple site locations, identifying gaps in compliance, and collaborating with site leadership to develop and implement corrective action plans. The role involves analyzing safety performance metrics, identifying trends, and recommending strategic interventions to enhance compliance and reduce risk. Essential Duties / Responsibilities

Monitors the progress of the corrective action plans to ensure timely resolution and sustained improvement, providing regular updates to senior safety leadership. Conducts regular audits of facilities, processes, and safety programs to assess compliance with OSHA and internal standards Develops audit protocols and checklists tailored to specific operational environments Document findings, recommend corrective actions, and track resolution progress Monitors and interprets OSHA regulations and ensures company policies align with current standards Serves as the subject matter expert on OSHA‑related matters, providing guidance to site safety teams and leadership Prepares and submits required OSHA documentation and reports Assists in the delivery of OSHA‑focused training programs for employees and management Promotes awareness of safety policies and procedures through ongoing education initiatives Supports investigations of workplace incidents to identify root causes and ensure proper documentation Collaborates with site teams to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence Analyzes safety data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement Participates in cross‑functional safety committees and initiatives Serves as a key resource for site teams, offering expert guidance, training, and support to foster a proactive safety culture Recommends and implements best practices to enhance safety performance Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering, or a related field or 4+ years of related experience 2 to 4 years+ experience in safety training, auditing, or standards development in a corporate or multi‑site environment Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and other applicable safety regulations Ability to travel to company locations as needed (up to 50%) Must be able to conduct physical inspections in industrial environments Preferred Qualifications

Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, CHST, or equivalent preferred Experience in high‑risk industries such as construction, manufacturing, or logistics Experience conducting safety audits and developing corrective action plans The information contained in this job description is intended to describe the essential job functions required of those assigned to this job. Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Working Environment: Exposed to high noise level, strong odors, heat and cold, biohazardous conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical hazards, handling dangerous equipment, and traveling to offsite locations. Must be able to sit, walk, use hands for computer and machinery, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl to maintain position, climb or balance on ladder, talk, hear, taste, smell, and effectively communicate with co‑workers and clients. Physical Demands: May require lifting or moving up to 100 pounds, with occasional light manual handling up to 25 pounds and heavy manual handling up to 50 pounds. Vision demands include clear close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Required travel: Up to 50% of time to company locations.
