Job Title Project Executive

Location Temple, Texas

Job Type Full‑Time | On‑Site

Reports To Vice President of Operations / Regional Director

Position Overview As the Project Executive, you will be the senior leader responsible for overseeing multiple large‑scale construction projects from preconstruction through close‑out. You will ensure that all aspects of the project’s safety, quality, schedule, and budget are delivered to exceed client expectations. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and client relationship skills, along with deep experience in managing teams and complex construction operations.

Key Responsibilities

Works with EVP to set divisional safety, quality, cost, revenue, and owner relationship goals for project group

With EVP, reviews project proposals and plans to determine time frame, fee, general conditions and viability of completion for projects within project group

Reviews all subcontract and owner change orders for all projects in project group

Reviews and signs subcontracts

Ensures preparation of cost estimates, value engineering, constructability reviews, scope development and project bidding procedures for project group

Supports and assists less senior project managers with conflict resolution

Reviews status reports for project portfolio and reports status to upper management, owners, or other stakeholders

Participates in project coordination meetings as required in support of less senior project managers

Collects data and reports on divisional KPIs within project group

Provides performance reviews and one‑on‑one feedback to Senior Project Managers and/or Project Managers and/or Project Engineers

Protects and promotes the interests of the Company; ensures all payment for work performed is received

Review, analyze and respond to subcontract comments

Understand the subcontract documents; create pre‑award/contract documents

Lead and mentor field teams, superintendents, and project engineers to foster operational excellence.

Support staffing strategies, workforce planning, and development of internal talent.

Promote a strong safety‑first and accountability culture across job sites.

Client & Stakeholder Coordination

Serve as the senior operational contact for owners, design professionals, and consultants.

Conduct progress meetings, maintain stakeholder communication, and deliver operational reporting.

Partner with estimating and preconstruction to ensure constructability and schedule alignment during planning phases.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent field experience).

Minimum 10+ years in commercial construction with at least 5 years in a senior operational leadership role.

Strong background in field operations, project execution, and construction logistics.

Experience delivering complex projects in commercial, education, healthcare, or industrial sectors.

Proficient with scheduling tools and project management platforms

Deep knowledge of safety standards, quality systems, subcontractor management, and jobsite coordination.

Strong interpersonal, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
