Salesforce / CRM Architect (ITS Architect III)
CalOptima – an organization that serves member health with excellence and dignity. We are looking for an experienced Salesforce/CRM architect to lead the design, integration, and optimization of our Salesforce and related CRM platforms. This role focuses on strategic design, architecture delivery, and vendor management to drive digital transformation across member, provider, and staff engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Architect enterprise‑grade CRM solutions that align with business goals and enterprise architecture standards.
Lead design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high‑performance Salesforce and CRM solutions.
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders on roadmap planning, integration patterns, and data governance.
Define and maintain the CRM architectural blueprint, including data models and system interfaces.
Architect seamless integration between Salesforce and other enterprise systems such as data warehouses, member portals, and claims payment systems.
Establish and enforce development standards, code reviews, releases management and security policies (HIPAA, enterprise security).
Serve as technical lead to development teams, ensuring best practices in Apex, Lightning Web Components, and declarative tools.
Provide technical guidance to offshore and local vendor teams and manage vendor relationships.
Collaborate with Data Architects and cross‑functional teams to align CRM data models with enterprise data architecture.
Support continuous improvement, governance and solution lifecycle management.
Complete additional projects and duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline.
≥8 years of progressive, applicable experience in information technology with cloud architecture.
≥5 years of experience specifically in Salesforce architecture and CRM solution design.
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce certifications: Application Architect, System Architect, and Technical Architect (CTA) highly desirable.
Experience with cloud‑native architecture and distributed systems for CRM.
Managed‑care/health‑care experience.
Strong vendor management and project‑management experience.
Benefits & Compensation
Concurrent salary range: Pay Grade 316 – $120,881 – $193,410
Full telework eligible in California; partial telework for first 3 months.
