Responsibilities As the Zero Trust Data Analytics Engineer, I will lead the initiative to create and refine systems necessary for defining, collecting, analyzing, and reporting on essential metrics associated with the operational effectiveness and maturation of the Zero Trust architecture.

My responsibilities will include:

Designing and implementing a thorough data and analytics framework to measure the effectiveness of Zero Trust enablement and monitor progress towards Zero Trust maturity goals.

Establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) that resonate with the seven pillars of Zero Trust: Identity, Devices, Applications/Workloads, Data, Network/Environment, Automation/Orchestration, and Analytics/Visibility.

Developing, maintaining, and automating executive‑level dashboards and reports for visualizing Zero Trust performance, compliance posture, and risk reduction through data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Leveraging advanced data engineering techniques to correlate security data from diverse sources (SIEM, EDR, IAM logs, and network data) to spot trends, anomalies, and areas for enhancement in Zero Trust policy enforcement.

Collaborating with Zero Trust architects, security engineers, and compliance teams to guarantee that data requirements are fulfilled and metrics accurately reflect operational realities and the effectiveness of implemented controls.

Conducting thorough analyses and providing actionable recommendations to leadership for optimizing Zero Trust investments, addressing risks, and hastening maturity advancement.

Designing and maintaining data collection processes and pipelines, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and adherence to data governance standards.

Mentoring and guiding data analysts and security teams on data‑driven decision‑making and performance measurement methodologies.

Keeping detailed documentation of measurement frameworks, data methodologies, and reporting processes, strictly adhering to industry standards (e.g., ITIL, NIST).
