Job Overview As a Verification Engineer on the FPGA Prototyping team within Arm’s Solutions Engineering group, you will accelerate development by providing a high‑performance prototyping environment for software integration and validation. Your day‑to‑day work involves driving verification of SoC RTL designs adapted for FPGA implementation, building and maintaining verification testbenches, integrating third‑party VIPs and FPGA‑specific IP models, writing and reusing C test cases, creating test plans, and automating tasks with Python, Perl, Shell, or Tcl.
Responsibilities
Implement verification strategies to ensure detailed testing of assigned subsystems or SoC modules.
Collaborate closely with design engineers, architects, and other verification engineers to understand requirements and plan verification activities.
Communicate verification progress, issues, and results to stakeholders through clear verbal and written reports.
Automate test cases and regression suites to enhance verification efficiency and coverage.
Required Skills and Experience
Solid understanding of SoC verification using C test cases and proficiency with hardware description/verification languages such as SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL.
Knowledge of computer architecture, bus protocols (e.g., AXI, AHB), and peripherals.
Experience scripting with Tcl, Python, or other languages.
Nice to Have Skills and Experience
Experience with ARM‑based designs or ARM System Architectures.
Familiarity with ARM debugger and trace features (e.g., ARM DS, DSTREAM).
Knowledge of memory subsystems or high‑speed peripherals (e.g., PCIe/CXL) and integration of these IP models.
Salary Range $156,500 – $211,700 per year
