Description

Job Overview The SVP of Finance serves as the senior finance leader for

GBC Food Services and its affiliated entities

(subsidiaries, joint ventures, and other controlled or partially owned entities). This role owns enterprise financial strategy, accounting integrity, consolidated reporting, treasury, tax, audit, risk, and board materials—partnering with Operations, Supply Chain, Franchise Development, and Client (host location) Relations to drive profitable unit economics, and scalable growth across a multi-entity structure.

Supervisory Responsibilities Leads Corporate Accounting/Controller, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Payroll, and Financial Systems/ERP. Direct oversight of Directors/Managers; indirect leadership of analysts and shared-services staff. Manages external audit, tax, banking, insurance, valuation, and advisory partners across

all entities .

Key Responsibilities

Financial strategy & planning:

Own AOP/LRP, monthly/quarterly forecasts, and KPI dashboards across parent and affiliates; standardize planning calendars and assumptions across entities.

Consolidation & accounting:

Ensure accurate, timely closes for each entity; perform eliminations; maintain

multi-entity GAAP

policies; manage intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, and management-fee/allocations; coordinate external audits and statutory filings.

Entity governance & structure:

Partner with Legal on entity formations, mergers, dissolutions, capitalization tables, minority interests, and governance documentation; maintain updated org charts and Delegation of Authority matrices by entity.

Treasury & capital:

Centralize liquidity where appropriate; manage cash pooling/IC loans, credit facilities, and covenant compliance at both

consolidated and entity

levels; support M&A diligence/integration, including opening/closing bank accounts and integrating POS/ERP and payroll.

Tax strategy:

Oversee federal/state/local income and franchise taxes, sales/use tax, and

multi-entity

nexus; coordinate with advisors on structure optimization and compliance calendars.

Franchise & host location economics:

Build/refine

unit-level P&Ls

for kiosks in grocery/host locations; optimize pricing, royalties, rebates, promotions, COGS, labor models, and product mix; assess ROI for menu/market pilots. Ensure timely and accurate franchise accounting payments.

Operational finance:

Partner with Operations to improve forecasting accuracy, throughput, shrink, waste, and inventory turns; standardize kiosk reporting and labor scheduling economics across entities/markets.

Client & franchisee partnership:

Support national/regional grocery clients and franchisees on commercial terms, SLA scorecards, and joint business planning; assist in pricing negotiations and new market entries.

Systems & data:

Own

multi-entity ERP

roadmap (e.g., NetSuite) including chart-of-accounts design, entity/subsidiary hierarchies, consolidations, POS integrations, and BI governance.

Risk & insurance:

Lead ERM (product, operational, cyber, contractual) and right-size coverages by entity; oversee claims and broker relationships.

Policies & controls:

Maintain internal controls, SOX-lite frameworks as needed, and policies for T&E, procurement, contract review, and intercompany SLAs.

Leadership & culture:

Build a high-performing, service-minded finance team; coach leaders, succession plan, and drive continuous improvement.

Competencies

Advanced modeling/analytics; decisive operator in high-growth, ambiguous settings.

Credibility with operators, franchisees, clients, lenders, auditors, and minority partners.

Change leadership in process design and systems enablement.

Required Skills/Abilities

Expert proficiency in FP&A, GAAP accounting,

multi-entity consolidations , treasury, and internal controls.

Advanced Excel/modeling; ERP proficiency (NetSuite preferred), POS/BI integration experience.

Strong negotiation/contract structuring (banking, insurance, client/vendor).

Exceptional executive communication and presence.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field required;

CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred.

12+ years progressive finance leadership, ideally in multi-unit foodservice, distribution, franchise, or CPG; 5+ years leading managers/directors.

Public audit coordination and debt facility experience preferred; M&A and integration experience a plus.

Physical Requirements Primarily office-based; ability to travel domestically to client locations, suppliers, banks, industry events, and other locations as needed with varying notice.

Work Environment Fast-paced, growth setting; cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Supply Chain, Franchise, and Client teams. All positions at GBC Food Services are considered on-site and require punctual attendance.
