Systems Integration Engineering Professional Associate

Responsibilities We're looking for a Systems Integration Professional in Santa Clara, California, who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us, and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including semiconductor, industrial and commercial facilities. You’ll be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering and programming tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
You’ll also provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. Your primary focus will be on the configuration and programming of facility management system PLCs and HMI/SCADA interfaces. The role has opportunities for growth and expansion to work with our team in highly complex systems.
The multi-disciplinary, highly interactive team produces designs for electrical circuits and panels utilising CAD applications, designs for control systems for a variety of facility core and shell processes, and develops options and optimisations for all aspects of the process control, instrumentation, and automation. Your role keeps our company connected, and we’ll support you with what you need to be successful.
Qualifications
Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics or Instrumentation.
At least 6 years of Industrial System Integration Experience.
Knowledge of PLCs and SCADA systems.
Experience with Rockwell and GE/Emerson PLCs.
Experience with inductive automation Ignition software packages.
Understand Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) following ANSI/ISA S5.1 symbology.
Proficient in using Microsoft Suite, including MS Word, Access, Outlook and Excel.
Preferred qualifications
Experience with Cimplicity™ and Rockwell programming packages.
Experience in Semiconductor, industrial or general industrial facilities.
Experience in various aspects of industrial automation, instrumentation, electrical power and building automation system design.
Pressure, temperature, flow, and level installation, calibration, and maintenance experience.
Understand the operations, safety considerations and applications for common analytical instruments, including pH and Conductivity.
Understand analog, digital, and relay field wiring and troubleshooting.
Ability to specify instrumentation and valves.
Other Requirements Location Requirements
This is an on-site position requiring work to be performed on the client site in Santa Clara/Sunnyvale, CA.
Candidate must be willing to commute to the site Monday-Friday during normal business hours – nominally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with some flexibility based on the ability of the site to support and employee preference.
After hours on-call support services are occasionally requested.
Relocation assistance may be provided for a qualified candidate.
Physical Requirements
Position requires field visits and walks at an active client site in various stages of construction.
Applicant must be able to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks, work in small spaces, lift and carry up to 25lbs.
