Responsibilities
Support complex, high‑value Developer Platform deals, guiding proposal structure, pricing, and terms to meet customer needs and Cloudflare objectives.
Evangelize and co‑sell on customer and partner calls, explaining workloads, products, commercial structures, and the overall value proposition.
Optimize deal workflows by partnering with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Product teams to streamline review, approval, and contracting processes.
Develop pricing strategies in collaboration with Product and GTM teams, refining packaging, licensing models, and adoption incentives.
Enable sales teams through training, playbooks, and best practices for positioning, pricing, and negotiating Platform solutions.
Analyze deal performance, tracking win/loss rates and pricing effectiveness to identify improvement opportunities.
Act as a conduit between sales and product/GTM, feeding market insights and customer feedback on pricing and packaging to inform roadmap and strategy.
Support strategic programs such as Cloudflare for Startups and the Workers Launchpad accelerator from a deal strategy perspective.
Contribute to long‑term strategic vision for Developer Platform commercialization, including market segmentation, sales motion optimization, and competitive positioning.
Examples of Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
6+ years in business development or sales strategy focused on complex B2B SaaS cycles.
Curiosity & growth mindset.
Proven ability to structure and negotiate high‑value, multi‑year SaaS agreements with large enterprise clients.
Strong ownership, initiative, and time‑management in a fast‑moving environment.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Customer‑centric, with strategic mindset to solve commercial problems.
Comfortable working under pressure and adjusting priorities to meet deadlines.
Data‑driven with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and using data to inform decisions.
Organized, keeping team on track in a fast‑paced setting.
Background in Product‑Led Growth (PLG) is a strong plus.
Compensation May vary by location, with eligibility for incentive compensation under Cloudflare’s Sales Compensation Plan.
Texas, Colorado, Illinois: $208,000 – $254,000 annually.
New York City, New Jersey, Washington, DC, California (excluding Bay Area): $211,000 – $257,000 annually.
Equity This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.
