The Coupa System Administrator / Developer will play a crucial role in the implementation, continued optimization, and change management of our Coupa Sourcing and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) platform. This role blends functional and technical expertise to ensure that procurement and AP processes are automated, efficient, and reliable.
As the Coupa subject matter expert, you will establish user access and role-based security mapping, configure workflows, maintain data integrity, build reports and dashboards, and deliver employee and supplier training. You’ll also manage system upgrades, support Coupa – ERP integrations, and partner closely with Supply chain, Finance, Accounts Payable, Procurement, and IT stakeholders to continuously optimize processes and ensure seamless system performance.
Key Responsibilities
Administration & Configuration
Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and Coupa configurations.
Design and implement workflow automation and approval chains.
Ensure system accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness.
System Maintenance & Releases
Perform system upgrades, testing, and release management.
Review Coupa release notes, evaluate new features, and drive adoption of new functionalities.
Reporting & Analytics
Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor procurement and AP performance.
Deliver actionable insights to drive compliance and cost savings.
Training & Enablement
Own employee training and vendor onboarding end-to-end.
Develop and deliver training materials (guides, videos, infographics, newsletters).
Act as SME to improve adoption and support user confidence.
Process Optimization
Partner with Finance, AP, and Procurement to analyze processes and recommend improvements.
Continuously evaluate system usage and optimize configurations for efficiency.
Requirements
Coupa Certification is required.
Five (5+) years relevant experience as an IT administrator or a developer for systems related to purchasing, sourcing, accounts payable, accounting, etc.
Three (3+) years of hands-on experience as a Coupa Administrator (Required).
Experience developing and executing implementation strategies, capturing business requirements, solution design, user acceptance testing, and training (Strongly Preferred).
Expertise in creating and managing reports and dashboards within Coupa.
In-depth understanding of procurement lifecycle, purchase order management, requisitioning, sourcing, and supplier management.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
ERP Integration Experience
Support and enhance integrations between Coupa and QAD ERP (our core ERP).
Leverage experience with other ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, D365, etc.) to advise on best practices and future-proof solutions.
Troubleshoot data and integration issues in collaboration with other teams in IT.
Database & Data Management
Use SQL/MySQL to query, validate, and troubleshoot system data.
Support advanced reporting, data audits, and migration tasks.
Monitor data flows between Coupa and ERP to ensure integrity and performance.
Coupa User/Staff training Lead experience
Ability to work independently and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
Rate: $50 - $65/hour. This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
