Weekly Salary Breakdown

$865 / week at entry experience

$1,195 / week for experienced support staff

Equivalent annual range: $45,000–$62,000 / year

What You Do Driver & Dispatch Assistance

Provide drivers with updated instructions, addresses, and appointment times

Track ETAs, delays, breakdowns, and HOS considerations

Help drivers resolve road issues quickly and professionally

Load Coordination

Confirm pickup and delivery appointments

Track loads and provide real-time updates to brokers / shippers

Verify BOLs, PODs, and ensure the freight matches the bill (prevent wrong-load issues)

Time Management

Estimate realistic load / unload times

Prevent overscheduling and tight back-to-back appointment windows

Documentation

Upload all paperwork into the TMS

Track detention, layover, and TONU opportunities

Keep clean, accurate load notes

Customer & Broker Communication

Send check calls and status updates

Notify brokers of changes or delays

Maintain positive, professional relationships with shippers / brokers

Skills Needed
