General Manager I Store 7477 Haddon Township NJ
A General Manager is responsible for inspiring the team, driving sales, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining store appearance and operational standards. The role requires a deep understanding of store operations, automotive systems, parts knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot and coach staff for both DIY and Professional customer segments.
Primary Responsibilities
Achieve overall store sales goals and service objectives.
Manage and grow Professional Customer relationships/sales, holding the team accountable to Customer action plans.
Recruit, hire, develop, and coach store team members; schedule and engage the team.
Execute all inventory and operational standards, including safety, open/close, and floor/phone management.
Coach all Team Members to meet DIY and Professional customer expectations.
Lead change management initiatives and foster a respectful environment.
Embrace diversity, build strong relationships with customers, peers, and upper management.
Secondary Responsibilities
Provide DIY service support (battery installation, wiper install, testing, etc.).
Assist District/Region with additional functions upon request.
Qualifications
2–3 years of retail management experience with a team of 10–20 in a fast‑paced environment.
Proven ownership of store profitability; strong financial and business acumen.
Working knowledge of automotive systems preferred.
Excellent communication skills; build strong relationships with customers and team.
Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel; PowerPoint preferred).
Valid driver’s license required.
ASE certification preferred but not required.
Education & Certifications
High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
Physical Demands Work requires walking, standing, reaching; lifting up to 50 lb routinely and up to 100 lb occasionally. Must be able to talk and hear, use hands and fingers, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Exposure to moving mechanical parts and various weather conditions. Noise level usually moderate.
Compensation Annual salary range: $52,700.00 – $59,300.00 USD.
