Impact You’ll Have

Define the technical strategy and roadmap for building in‑house solutions for critical internal workflows.

Partner closely with product management, design, and other engineering teams to build end‑to‑end, AI‑powered solutions.

Eliminate technical risk by solving the most technically challenging issues or tackling the most complex development tasks facing the team.

Drive team best practices for engineering excellence, including design quality, operational reviews, testing strategies, and incident management.

What We Look For

10+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong track record of technical leadership and impact.

3+ years of engineering leadership experience, serving as the technical owner for the software systems owned by your team.

Experience designing and building end‑to‑end, full‑stack cloud‑native applications.

Customer obsession and product engineering mindset.

Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.

History of raising the engineering quality bar, focus on execution and operational rigor.

Strong ability to collaborate across product, engineering, and business teams to align technical strategy with company business objectives.

Passion for the data intelligence space.

Pay Range Transparency Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non‑commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job‑related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location.

Local Pay Range:

$192,000—$260,000 USD.
