Job Summary Supermicro Computer is looking for an Account Manager who has experience selling technical solutions and developing business. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of winning enterprise‑level relationships and consistently exceeding assigned sales quotas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage products through their entire lifecycle until product EOL.

Develop strategic sales goals and execute them to meet sales targets.

Qualify leads and create target lists of enterprise or data‑center accounts.

Seek potential customers (e.g., corporate customers, value‑added resellers, OEMs) through cold calling and follow‑up visits.

Participate in marketing activities such as trade shows to generate leads.

Strategically position Supermicro’s products and services in the market.

Develop customer relationships, maintain/manage accounts, and expand existing client accounts for retention and growth.

Work with cross‑functional teams to draft and negotiate various types of contracts.

Manage day‑to‑day sales operations.

Negotiate sales pricing, monitor orders, facilitate credit issues, and negotiate sales returns.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (preferred).

Minimum one year of hands‑on experience selling computer hardware solutions to data‑center or enterprise accounts (prior software or telecom sales considered).

Successful track record with credible cold calling and follow‑up with key decision makers.

Ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment.

Demonstrated skills in pre‑call planning, opportunity qualification, objection handling, call structure and control, and time/territory management.

Strong persuasive and negotiating skills with polished verbal, written, and presentation abilities.

Extremely proactive, highly organized, and proven ability to manage multiple tasks.

Exceptional management skill in time and territory.

Salary Range $68,640 – $85,000, depending on location, level, education, training, experience, and comparison to other employees in this role. Additional compensation may include bonus and equity award programs.
