Break Something
Break Something is seeking a detail-oriented Digital Strategist who's ready to hit the ground running to raise money for Democratic candidates and organizations over email, SMS, and direct donate advertisements.
Our ideal candidate is a strong writer with political, marketing, and election-cycle experience. Someone who has the ability to capture the voice of our diverse clients, is comfortable working within multiple, simultaneous tight deadlines, and is dedicated to helping support and elect Democrats up and down the ballot.
This position requires a high degree of organization, time management, motivation, attention to detail, and an ability to pivot toward competing priorities.
Responsibilities
Write compelling and creative fundraising copy that captures a client's voice for email, ads, text messaging, social media, and direct response campaigns
Develop content calendars in coordination with account managers and clients
Perform thorough quality control checks on all outbound communications to ensure accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines
Conduct campaign, client, or issue-specific research to inform content
Coordinate A/B testing to optimize programs based on performance and client feedback
Provide support to program lead and deliver copy and samples to clients as needed
Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
Strong communication and collaboration skills (written and verbal)
Excellent command of grammar, punctuation usage, and AP style
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email design is a plus
Basic proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
Enthusiasm for Democratic politics and causes
Bonus: Experience with SMS and MMS as well as email CRMs campaign tools and platforms
Benefits This position is eligible for inclusion in our bargaining unit and is salaried with competitive benefits and paid time off.
The negotiated salary band for this position is $58-$66k annually. We pride ourselves on offering some of the best benefits in the industry, including but not limited to:
