Position Summary Columbia Construction is seeking a

Construction Superintendent

to lead field operations on complex commercial projects. You’ll be the boots-on-the-ground leader responsible for managing site safety, schedule, subcontractor coordination, and quality control — all while upholding Columbia’s culture of excellence and collaboration.

This is a high-impact role ideal for a proactive, solution-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and leads by example.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking to close-out.

Champion

jobsite safety

and ensure compliance with Columbia’s Safety Program and OSHA regulations.

Develop and maintain

site logistics plans , project schedules, and look-ahead plans.

Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel with clarity and professionalism.

Work closely with the Project Manager to align field execution with budget, schedule, and design intent.

Conduct daily coordination meetings and weekly subcontractor meetings.

Monitor work progress, perform quality control, and resolve field issues in real time

Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily reports and photos.

Serve as the primary liaison between Columbia, the client, and all field operations.

Qualifications

8+ years of relevant field experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years in a Superintendent role.

Proven track record managing projects in sectors such as life sciences, corporate interiors, healthcare, or higher education.

Deep knowledge of construction means, methods, building codes, and safety standards.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and construction management platforms (Procore preferred).

OSHA 30 certification required.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred (not required).
