Position Overview Empower is seeking a
Product and Test Engineer
to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary team. This role bridges product engineering and test development, ensuring our power IC products meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements. You will work closely with design, operations, and external partners to drive new product introduction (NPI), qualification, and customer sample test strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage NPI activities to qualify new products for production.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure product performance and reliability.
Analyze product data and identify areas for improvement in processes and systems.
Manage customer product issues and provide engineering‑driven resolutions.
Define and develop best‑in‑class test processes for IVRs.
Oversee IC characterization, design verification, qualification and functional test for high‑volume manufacturing.
Document and maintain test flows, ensuring compliance with ISO and industry standards.
Qualifications
Education:
BS in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering or related field.
Experience:
Entry‑level in product/test engineering for semiconductor ICs (power IC experience preferred).
Proven track record in NPI and test development for high‑performance IVRs or mixed‑signal ICs.
Skills:
Strong data analysis and problem‑solving skills.
Familiarity with test platforms (Advantest, Chroma) and reliability test systems.
Python programming for bench automation is a plus.
Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to work on multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
Location & Compensation Sunnyvale, CA – $111,000.00–$164,000.00 (Full‑time)
