Department: MED-Biochem&Molecular Genetics Salary/Grade: RES/ Job Summary

Participate in an NSF-funded project investigating how multiple yeast prion elements work together to influence global transcription and maintain proteostasis. Responsibilities include designing and conducting experiments, as well as analyzing results under the supervision of the PI. The project's goal is to identify prion-linked differentially expressed genes and determine whether they are associated with heritable phenotypic alterations. Specific Responsibilities

Design, set-up, and conduct basic experiments Analyze results from individual experiments, troubleshoot/improve protocols Effectively communicate with PI and lab members Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and results Train students and/or junior lab members Draft manuscripts from the obtained data and complete their publication procedure. Minimum Qualifications

PhD in biological sciences With 1st author-ed publication(s) Minimum Competencies

Knowledge in biochemistry and molecular genetics, and skills in molecular biology Benefits
