This position will report to a General Manager, Project Executive or Senior Project Manager, depending on the market, and will assist with the management/coordination of construction projects, but will ultimately have an independent portfolio of projects to manage from their own existing relationship and business development activities. Candidates must have prior experience within the construction industry dealing with End‑Users, General Contractors, and Manufacturer/supply partners, be tech savvy, possess excellent written & verbal communication skills, and be highly detail oriented.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Project Manager holds a pivotal role in overseeing every facet of the construction journey. This comprehensive responsibility spans from the initial bidding phase, through meticulous project planning and efficient delivery, culminating in successful project completion. A critical aspect of this role involves financial responsibility, ensuring the project budget remains aligned with proposed costs throughout its lifecycle, and our scope is completed on time or early exceeding our client’s needs.

The daily operational scope of the Project Manager is dynamic and multifaceted. Key activities include, but are not limited to:

Business Development:

Leveraging existing client and supplier networks, as well as cultivating new business relationships.

Customer Coordination:

Engaging directly and proactively with clients to discuss intricate project details, address their specific requirements, and meticulously coordinate project schedules to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction.

Design Document Review and Evaluation:

Conducting thorough reviews and evaluations of design documents or architect plans to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and adherence to project specifications. This also involves the crucial task of coordinating and preparing comprehensive submittal packages for necessary approvals.

Schedule and Material Management:

Diligently managing project timelines, tracking progress against established milestones, and strategically managing material lead times to prevent delays and ensure the timely availability of all necessary resources.

On‑site Supervision and Problem Resolution:

Regularly visiting job sites to confirm site conditions, assess progress, and proactively identify and assist in resolving any emerging issues or challenges that may impact project flow.

Labor Crew Scheduling:

Collaborating closely with labor crews to efficiently schedule installation tasks, optimize workforce allocation, and ensure that on‑site work proceeds smoothly and according to plan.

Project Close‑out Assistance:

Providing comprehensive support and assistance during the project close‑out phase, ensuring all final documentation is complete, punch lists are addressed, and the project is formally handed over to the client.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A winning / growth mindset, and “can‑do” attitude.

A bias for action and low neuroticism for effectively managing complexity in a high stress industry (Construction).

A bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, or a minimum of 5 years work experience within the construction industry, selling, managing a book of business, and running your own work, end to end.

Mastery of reading construction plans / blueprints, details, and specifications.

Tech savvy, and highly proficient in email/written, and verbal communication.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a dynamic fast‑pace environment.

Superior organization, and time‑management skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and manage cross‑functional teams on multiple levels.

Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle for travel to job sites (typically +/- 30 miles max).
