REPORTS TO ACKventure Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT This is a seasonal, full-time position, up to 35 hours per week. Camp weeks run from June 22 through August 14. The hourly rate is $20-$27 per hour, commensurate with experience.
JOB SUMMARY Camp Counselors will be tasked with leading assigned age groups and engaging children ages 3.5 to 10 in daily camp activities. Camp programming will take place at Nantucket Intermediate School.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 16 years of age or older for assistant positions, and 18 years or older for lead positions.
Experience in related fields (sports, coaching, childcare, camp counselor) is preferred.
Strong swimming skills are preferred, but not required.
Ability to converse with caregivers pleasantly and effectively.
Previous working or volunteer experience with children.
Certification in CPR/first aid or willing to be certified. Certification is required by June 30, 2026.
