You will make an impact in the following way:
You own and lead the Global Architecture & UX Process and report directly to the Vice President R&D
Manage the budget of the Global Architecture & UX Process department within the Belden Innovation Function
Plan and develop architecture and building block roadmaps based on strategic plans and future needs of the organization, increase internal technology re-use, and drive value with reduced time-to-market and de-risking product development
Define and develop common UX frameworks for Belden’s end-to-end solutions and integrate them into the global product architecture
Work with global Product and Solution Management organizations to align architecture roadmaps with product and solution roadmaps
Work with global engineering organizations to facilitate the adoption of building blocks and architectures and enable knowledge transfer on new technologies
Empower the personal and professional growth of a team of highly skilled and motivated architects and UX designers
What you will bring:
Education– Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar relevant field preferred and/or equivalent combination of experience and education
Professional experience– 6+ years of architecture, technical interface design, and adoption of novel technologies with a strong background in research and/or advance development, experience with model-assisted design is a plus
Global leadership – 3+ years of experience working in a leading role in a global organization with cooperating functions across multiple countries
Personality– You possess excellent communication skills, diplomatic tact and the unique ability to adapt swiftly to evolving technology landscapes while inspiring and motivating your team of system architects
Ability to travel – Occasionally internationally
Language proficiency– Fluent in English, other major European languages are highly beneficial
