As the opening Director of Sales, you are the market storyteller, relationship architect, and revenue generator who will drive every facet of our commercial success. You thrive in the excitement of new openings, embrace creativity, and build partnerships that last. Your work will lay the foundation for the hotel’s identity, team culture, and long-term success. As the Opening Director of Sales, you will:
Build the Commercial Foundation
Develop and execute the hotel’s pre-opening and opening sales strategy across corporate, group, leisure, and local negotiated segments. Establish key sales systems, standard operating procedures, and best practices from the ground up. Create Buzz & Build Partnerships
Position AC Hotel McKinney as the preferred destination through proactive outreach, sales missions, networking events, and community engagement. Cultivate strong relationships with local businesses, chambers, CVBs, travel planners, and corporate accounts. Drive Revenue & Performance
Achieve revenue goals through targeted sales plans, account management, and effective pricing strategies. Partner closely with Revenue Management and Marketing to activate demand and optimize top‑line performance. Lead With Intention
Build an energetic, high-performing sales culture where collaboration and creativity thrive. Provide coaching, development, and mentorship to future sales team members as the hotel continues to grow. Champion the Brand
Represent the AC brand with sophistication, clarity, and purpose—bringing “The Perfectly Precise Hotel” to life in every client interaction. Ensure all sales messaging reflects brand standards while aligning with Peachtree’s service-forward values. Support a Successful Opening
Collaborate closely with the General Manager, regional teams, and pre-opening task force to ensure readiness for soft opening and grand opening. Oversee the creation of sales collateral, group contracts, rate loading, and all commercial systems setup. What You Bring
Valid Driver’s License 3+ years of hotel sales leadership experience, preferably with major brands (Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, etc.). Opening experience highly preferred but not required—an entrepreneurial, self-starting approach is essential. Strong local or regional market knowledge is a plus. Proven ability to drive revenue, negotiate effectively, and manage key accounts. Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Creative problem-solving, resilience, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced opening environment. Professionalism, integrity, and a passion for hospitality. Systems Proficiency
