Position Summary: The Student Information Systems (SIS) Administrator will provide technical support to the Student Information Systems including Jenzabar CX/EX/J1 On-prem, Hosted, and JaaS Applications. This position will interact with multiple departments in an academic setting as well as Collegis internal teams to manage timelines and deliverables.

Primary Responsibilities, Essential Functions and Requirements:

Act as a technical resource for SIS and related projects

Take primary ownership of support for Jenzabar, escalating and advocating as needed to ensure the best level of support for the Partner

Work independently and as part of a diverse and dispersed team

Work as a team member to set up and maintain end user support for the SIS

Communicate with vendors to aid in resolving general operational problems and technical issues

Provide excellent customer service with the ability to research, resolve and respond to partner inquiries accurately and in timely fashion

Perform routine management tasks, including transferring, loading, archiving, and converting data for purposes of managing, maintaining, and securing student information

Develop and/or Maintain 3rd party software integrations using API’s, flat files, etc. as required to maintain data synchronization with the SIS

Work with cross-functional teams to identify changes in process and necessary system configuration to support the institution

Prepare written materials (e.g., reports, documents, etc.) for the purpose of documenting processes and providing instructions to others

Respond to support requests (tickets) as assigned, documenting and resolving within established guidelines

Organize and prepare system software documentation, procedural documentation, and operational instructions to promote efficient utilization

Collaborate with Collegis and Partner Institution stakeholders to establish production schedules, resolve issues, and generate reports

Work with stakeholders to provide maximum ROI for the institution.

Prioritize workload to accomplish necessary duties on schedule

Assist in configuration, setup, and conversion of systems

Work closely with SIS users and vendors to identify and resolve systemic issues

Submit enhancement requests to vendors as appropriate.

Adhere to and enforce appropriate information security policies based on the sensitivity of Company and Partner Institutional data, reporting any security related issues

Reduce risk of theft, fraud, or misuse of information assets by acting as the data steward for the application(s) you administer

Other duties as assigned

Requirements Experience and Qualifications:

3+ years of related experience

Knowledge of Higher Education practices, procedures, and standards.

Comprehensive knowledge of Jenzabar CX/EX/J1 Student Information systems.

Strong comprehension of MS SQL Server, SQL language, Stored Procedures, etc.

Proficient in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.

Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, at appropriate levels, both in oral and written form using a variety of communication methods and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information and collaboration

Ability to compose correspondence, reports, and other written materials

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of Company and Partner Institutional data, especially regarding student data and information.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions, inquiries, and complaints at the appropriate level

Display courtesy, tact, and respect when working with others

Education, Certifications and Licensures:

Bachelor’s Degree

5+ years of SIS Administration in lieu of degree

Remote/Hybrid Policy: This role offers the flexibility of a fully remote environment. However, in alignment with our commitment to collaboration and team engagement, candidates within a 60-mile radius of our Chicago, IL headquarters will be expected to follow a hybrid schedule, working onsite 1-2 days per week to support in-person connection and cross-functional partnership.
