Job Summary
The
Market & Competitive Strategy Analyst
will conduct in-depth market and competitor analyses across financial, technical, and sales domains to support strategic decision-making, product development, and sales enablement across the business.
This position will be based onsite Vertiv's Westerville, OH - HQ location.
Responsibilities
Monitor market dynamics and track the evolution of competitive landscapes in the industry.
Conduct ongoing and ad-hoc market studies, synthesizing macroeconomic, technical and field data into actionable insights.
Analyze competitors’ products, technologies, and market positioning to identify opportunities and threats.
Prepare and present detailed analytical reports and strategic recommendations to leadership and commercial teams.
Synthesize quarterly financial reports and news releases for key insights.
Share competitor intelligence through newsletters and collaborate with digital monitoring providers for internal dissemination.
Empower business units by communicating findings to influence executive decisions and enable sales strategies.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree; Master’s degree / MBA student or graduate in engineering, business, economics or a related field
3-5 years of experience
Experience in competitive analysis, strategy, market research, or consulting, preferably within energy, electrical, or industrial sectors.
Advanced skills in data analysis and presentation tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and potentially ServiceNow or other similar applications.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for preparing impact presentations or reports.
Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and geographies and synthesize complex information for actionable business use.
Experience at a consulting company preferred
