Company The Central Texas Community Foundation was founded in 2004 to provide simple, flexible, and effective ways for permanent endowment funds and donor directed funds to be established and managed. The foundation works with donors to help achieve their personal, financial, and philanthropic goals and to establish endowments for a variety of purposes. Since inception, this foundation has granted nearly $25 million to local nonprofits and has provided millions in relief funds to help individuals in times of crisis.

The Program Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and executing a wide range of programs, events, and communications efforts that support the mission and operations of the Foundation. This role oversees giving circles, Philanthropy Hour, the Professional Advisors Group, and signature events such as the Legacy Luncheon. The Program Manager works closely with staff, board members, committees, and community partners to ensure successful program delivery, effective engagement, and exceptional operational support.

Key Responsibilities Program Management

Lead and manage current Foundation programs, including giving circles, Philanthropy Hour, and the Professional Advisors Group.

Take full ownership of giving circles, including:

Proactively convening committees and chairs

Leading membership growth initiatives

Providing exceptional administrative support to the Executive Director and giving circle chairs

Collaborate with staff to plan, implement, and coordinate event logistics and communications for Philanthropy Hour and the Professional Advisors Group.

Develop and maintain detailed program plans, timelines, and event workflows.

Coordinate with Foundation staff, the public, and partner nonprofit organizations to ensure effective delivery of programs and services.

Monitor program progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust strategies as needed.

Manage all program-related communications, including preparing email campaigns and coordinating with event management software.

Create and manage event listings for email invitations, website pages, and social media.

Legacy Luncheon Coordination

Develop and execute social media campaigns for community nominations and voting.

Send invoices to confirmed sponsors and manage sponsor communication.

Coordinate sponsor table guest lists.

Serve as the primary event lead, overseeing event logistics, volunteer coordination, run-of-show documentation, slide decks, and related materials.

Order awards and manage all associated details.

Event Management

Coordinate logistics for Foundation events, meetings, giving circles, and other organizational activities.

Oversee venue coordination, catering arrangements, scheduling, and all other details required for event success.

Communications

Provide strategic guidance to the outsourced Marketing team regarding programs, activities, and eventsli>

Maintain a structured event calendar and weekly operational checklist for programs and Foundation operations.

Develop and implement communication strategies to promote programs and events.

Prepare all external communications for programs, events, and giving circles, including event page creation and email marketing.

Create engaging content for social media, the website, and other communications channels.

Monitor and analyze communication metrics to assess performance and improve outreach effectiveness.

Foundation Committees and Board Support

Assist the Executive Director with committee meeting planning and communication.

Coordinate communication and logistical support for board meetings and committee activities.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in operations management, administrative support, or communications role, preferably in a nonprofit or community-focused organization.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, database management systems.

Knowledge and comfort with LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. Knowledge of other social media platforms a plus.

Willingness to learn backend content management system of the Foundation’s website.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Requirements Additional Requirements

Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, as needed. Flex time will be provided when after-hours work is required.

Ability to travel locally or regionally for meetings, events, or program-related activities.

Excellent writing skills required.

Salary & Benefits Salary range is $70,000+ and has some flexibility depending on experience. Central Texas Community Foundation provides a 3% 401k match and a monthly health insurance stipend. 15 paid holidays and PTO.
