Position Purpose
In partnership with the executive director of annual giving, and guided by Tuck’s strategic initiatives, the Associate Director solicits annual fund gifts and manages fundraising activities for selected classes. Key Responsibilities
Gift Solicitation and Commitments (70%) : Cultivates and solicits annual fund gifts ($2,500–$250,000), secures written commitments, and ensures prompt payments on pledges already made. Volunteer Management (15%) : Directs fundraising strategy for assigned classes, serves as primary point of contact for alumni volunteers, and collaborates with colleagues to align volunteer solicitations with donor prospect strategy and Tuck’s strategic initiatives. Donor Prospect Identification and Cultivation (10%) : Identifies prospect donors with leadership gift capacity, cultivates for significant annual fund gifts, and refers to leadership giving colleagues when appropriate. Team Development (5%) : Contributes ideas, input, and support to Tuck Advancement initiatives, seeks out, applies, and shares knowledge of higher education fundraising trends and innovations. Demonstrates professionalism and collegiality through actions, interactions, and communications in an inclusive environment. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience successfully raising annual fund gifts for higher education institutions or transferable sales/customer relationship experience. Proficiency with fundraising management systems (e.g., Ellucian Advance). Knowledge of higher education economics, philanthropy, and administration. Able to travel to meet donors and attend fundraising events. Ability to support a culturally diverse and inclusive learning community. Strong donor expectation management and innovation drive. Effective collaboration across Advancement, Tuck, and Dartmouth. Proactive learning and professional development orientation. Employment Details
Location: Hanover, NH (hybrid). 40 hours per week, 12 months per year. Full‑time, exempt, regular full‑time. Salary range $96,500–$115,000. Position number 1011283. Open until filled. Background Check
