Role and responsibilities
Understand the various business processes and implemented applications.
Collaborate with a team that is dedicated to architecting, planning, designing and delivering enterprise level solutions.
Engage with cross functional groups and stakeholders.
Learn and utilize knowledge of Trading operations for day-ahead, real-time, market risk, credit risk, PnL, settlement, invoicing, accounting, visualization, forecasting, modeling and compliance as it relates to the market protocols and operations.
Derive baseline requirements that will convert to valuable, robust, flexible, and quality solutions.
Contribute to building Agile Stories and deliver in sprints
Develop, Test, Perform quality reviews, Deploy to production
Potential development areas include comprehensive user interfaces, dashboards, reports, custom APIs, data integration, database, microservices and other areas that might be identified and prioritized.
Implement, enhance or recommend processes that provides efficiency such as strong development and coding standards and version control.
Explore and evaluate potential solutions and services.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Heavy application development and integration experience.
Experience supporting the needs of an energy trading business preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
ISO market knowledge, primarily with ERCOT and CAISO with a focus on storage and battery, highly desirable.
Deep knowledge and strong development practices using C#/.NET and Java. The ability to potentially learn other languages is desirable.
Deep experience working with multiple Azure and AWS services and solutions for heavy transactional processes.
The salary range for this role is US$90,000 - US$140,000
