Summary The Senior HR Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) at Firefly Aerospace serves as a trusted advisor to the manufacturing and production organizations as well as other assigned client groups, providing both hands-on tactical support and strategic leadership across the full employee lifecycle. This role partners directly with organizational leaders to diagnose workforce needs, guide people decisions, and elevate team performance in a fast-moving, mission-driven aerospace environment.
The Sr. HRBP delivers day-to-day support—including employee relations, coaching, performance management, workforce planning, and talent development—while also driving strategic HR initiatives that enable Firefly’s rapid growth and operational readiness. This includes leading the execution of enterprise HR programs such as performance cycles, organizational design efforts, leadership development, culture initiatives, compensation planning, and change management.
Success in this role requires strong business acumen, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to influence leaders at multiple levels. The Sr. HRBP must be comfortable shifting between tactical problem-solving and long-term strategic work, operating with a high degree of autonomy, and building scalable people practices that support Firefly’s mission to make space more accessible.
Overview of the Role
Consult and assist in the implementation of HR strategy, programs and policies including talent identification, performance management, employee relations, compensation, reward and recognition, succession planning, organization and staff development, leadership/bench strength development, staffing and other areas within the HR body of knowledge.
Diagnose organizational needs and develop practical, creative/innovative, data-driven solutions to increase team and organizational performance and advance the business strategy.
Ensure solutions are effectively implemented and sustained.
