We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Activities Director to design and coordinate engaging programs that enhance residents’ quality of life. You will plan social, recreational, and wellness activities tailored to diverse abilities and interests, helping residents stay active, connected, and fulfilled.
As the Activities Director, you will be the driving force behind creating a vibrant, engaging community for our residents. In this role, you will develop and oversee a wide range of recreational, social, and wellness programs that encourage participation, build connections, and support overall well-being. Your creativity and leadership will ensure residents enjoy meaningful experiences each day, tailored to their individual needs and abilities.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Social Work, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in senior living, long-term care, or community program coordination. Certification as an Activities Professional (NCCAP or similar) preferred but not required. Strong organizational and leadership abilities. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement monthly activity calendars for residents. Plan recreational, educational, cultural, and therapeutic programs. Adapt activities to meet the physical, cognitive, and emotional needs of residents. Lead group and individual sessions, ensuring active participation. Coordinate with nursing and therapy staff to support holistic wellness. Recruit, train, and oversee activity assistants and volunteers. Organize community outings and family events. Track resident participation and provide feedback to leadership. Qualifications:
Prior experience in senior living, nursing homes, or activity coordination required. Ability to adapt programs to physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
